With their virtually invisible weaving method, Double Genius Wefts offer a host of advantages over conventional hair wefts. The Double Genius Weft is available in 35 cm (80 g), 45 cm (100 g) and 60 cm (120 g). It is 80 cm wide. We offer the following colour variations: solid colour, highlighted, balayage and root. The length of the root section is approx. 7–9 cm. Genius Wefts should be removed and re-installed approximately every 6–8 weeks. This timeframe may vary depending on individual hair growth. With good care and regular move-ups, the wefts can be worn for up to a year before replacement is required. What is the difference compared to the Single Genius Weft?
These two types of hair extensions differ in terms of volume. One Double Genius Weft has twice the hair volume of a Single Genius Weft. The seam on the Double Weft is also slightly thicker than on Single Genius Wefts, but is still significantly thinner compared to classic wefts. Both extension variants are 80 cm (31,5") wide per weft.
How are they applied?
There are various techniques for applying Genius Wefts. One of the most popular methods is the micro-ring technique. With this method, micro-rings (or nano-rings with silicone) are attached to your hair. The extensions are then sewn in using a needle and thread. You can also find the required accessories in our shop. Another method is the braiding technique, in which your natural hair is braided and the wefts are then sewn onto the braids.
How many wefts do you need for a full hair extensions?
In many cases, one pack of Double Genius Wefts is sufficient for a hair extension. If the client’s natural hair is thick and voluminous, two Double Wefts may be used, depending on the volume. Alternatively, it is also possible to combine one Double Genius Weft with one Single Genius Weft. The exact amount of hair volume required varies greatly from client to client.
